Rug, lamp, pillows and mirrors from Walmart, curtains clearancesd at Bed Bath Beyond, fleur de lis sconces by armoir from Hobby Lobby... furniture moved up from keeping room.
I began by transforming my own house, room by room and eventually started helping neighbors transform their houses. Today, because of word of mouth, I have a small business where I enjoy helping others with this transformation. I begin with what they have lying around their house, and work with their style and budget to help them transform their houses into homes.

New furniture for keeping room!
We bought a sectional at Big Lots for the bonus room to replace the $50.00 futon we bought 12 years ago. It had seen better days. When we got the sectional upstairs, we couldn't fit it through the doorway of the bonus room. So we had to move the keeping room furniture upstairs and put the sectional in the keeping room. I normally prefer something a little more traditional, but then again, I never thought I'd put a flatscreen above a fireplace... not a very traditional look either. The sectional is actually very comfortable and fits nicely with the shape of the room. It's beginning to grow on me.
Drew is in the middle of painting the bonus room for us. Once he gets done, I'll blog the big reveal:)
Yay, Spring has arrived!!!
Keith got a new grill. Critters chewed up the old one. He got tired of fixing it. This one has a back on it so hopefully nothing can chew the coils. We also moved it up on the deck so its protected from the weather and closer to the kitchen. Keith is enjoying it! Now that the pollen is mostly passed, I cleaned of the deck, and repainted some of the furniture and put the cushions back out. I had to do a bit of rearranging due to the grill being put up there.
