I love my toile pillows that were on my bench, but when I put up new window treatments to tone down the yellow walls, those pillows seemed to still bring in too much yellow. I found some burlap in my closet along with some ribbon and buttons in a craft box. So I got out my sewing machine and made some pillow covers. Yes, I sewed on my sewing machine, scary, I know! I hemmed the top, but left it open and folded it over and used velcro to hold it down so I could easily remove the pillows if I wanted to.
I began by transforming my own house, room by room and eventually started helping neighbors transform their houses. Today, because of word of mouth, I have a small business where I enjoy helping others with this transformation. I begin with what they have lying around their house, and work with their style and budget to help them transform their houses into homes.

I made pillow covers for my bench with odds and ends I found in my closet...
